The 7th Project Steering Committee Meeting of Kocaeli SUMP project was held on 04.07.2024, hosted by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Department of Transport. The meeting held at Kocaeli Congress Centre was attended by experts from the EU Investments Department of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and EGIS & Boğaziçi Project Consortium. During the meeting, information about the progress of the project, completed and ongoing works, and the activities to be completed in the next step were shared within the last 3 months.

The Project Steering Committee met for the seventh and last time on 04.07.2024 at Kocaeli Congress Centre within the scope of Kocaeli Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan.

The meeting was hosted by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality SUMP Project Coordinator Nur Melike Postalcıoğlu Cansever and the project team, with the participation of Adem Koç, Contract Manager of the European Union Investments Department of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on behalf of the Contracting Authority, Alper Kaya, Publicity and Visibility Officer and Emrah Baltacı, Financial Expert.

Nur Melike Postalcıoğlu Cansever gave the opening speech of the meeting and informed about the progress of the project and thanked all parties for the collaborative process. Then, on behalf of the Contractor EGIS & Boğaziçi Project consortium, Project Team Leader Philippe Calvie, Local Project Manager Yücel Erdem Dişli, Transport Economist and Policy Specialist Delphine Dubreuil and Project Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Specialist Murat Çağatay made presentations on the ongoing, completed and planned works together with general information about the project process.

In the presentation on the project in its final months, the details of the study visit to Lyon, France between 13-17 May 2024; the Action Plan Workshop held on 24 May 2024 with high participation and efficient results for the project, the studies and reports prepared within the scope of Kocaeli SUMP Action Plan, trainings and communication and visibility activities were shared.

Following the information provided, Adem Koç stated that all processes related to the project were completed on time, in accordance with the specifications and guidelines and that the ongoing work is progressing in accordance with the schedule.
